Harald Pasch is an interpreter for Hungarian, German, and English. He is a lecturer at the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna, where he teaches courses in interpreting. Furthermore, he trains interpreters outside the university context and designs workshops for a range of organisations that work with them. His doctoral research examines interpreter-mediated access to the Austrian Centres for Protection Against Violence (Gewaltschutzzentren). He was part of the team behind the Erasmus+ project ReTrans. As a practitioner, he works across conference and public service interpreting, in settings ranging from cross-border economic cooperation and cultural events to legal, medical, psychosocial, and asylum contexts.
